I. Panoramic Analysis of Jaeger-LeCoultre's After-Sales System: The Collaborative Network Between Directly-Operated Service Centers and Boutiques
As a famous Swiss watch brand with nearly two hundred years of history, Jaeger-LeCoultre has established a comprehensive after-sales service network globally. In the Chinese market, Jaeger-LeCoultre's after-sales system presents a three-tier three-dimensional structure of "directly-operated service centers as the core, authorized boutiques as tentacles, and specially contracted repair points as supplements." This structure ensures that every Jaeger-LeCoultre watch owner can enjoy standardized and professional after-sales service.
Directly-Operated Service Centers: These are after-sales repair centers established by Jaeger-LeCoultre officially and directly operated and managed by the brand. These centers are usually located in high-rise Grade-A office buildings in core business districts of major cities, with private environments, professional equipment, and technicians strictly certified by Swiss headquarters. Directly-operated service centers undertake the most comprehensive and complex repair and maintenance tasks, including deep movement maintenance, parts replacement, waterproof performance testing, and case refinishing and polishing. They are the "backbone" of Jaeger-LeCoultre after-sales service, representing the highest standard of brand service. The national store addresses listed above cover Jaeger-LeCoultre directly-operated service centers and authorized repair outlets strictly selected by the brand.
Boutique Repair Service: Jaeger-LeCoultre brand boutiques in major high-end shopping malls are not only sales windows but also the "first stop" of after-sales service. Boutiques provide basic services such as preliminary fault diagnosis, appearance inspection, and strap adjustment, as well as transfer services for customers to submit repairs to directly-operated centers. Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique repair phone number: 400-880-8175 is a hotline specifically opened for boutique after-sales business. If you need to consult about maintenance matters or make a repair appointment after purchasing a watch at a boutique, calling this number can quickly connect with boutique service personnel, achieving precise and efficient problem handling. The relationship between boutiques and directly-operated service centers is a close cooperation of "front desk reception" and "back office technology": boutiques solve the "last mile" communication problem between customers and repair centers, while repair centers use professional technology to ensure every watch is reborn. This linkage mechanism greatly shortens customer waiting time and improves service experience.
Authorized Specially Contracted Repair Points: Jaeger-LeCoultre has also established official authorized cooperative relationships with nationwide chain watch repair institutions such as Hengdeli in China. Jaeger-LeCoultre authorized Hengdeli repair hotline: 400-995-1697 is the direct contact window for this cooperative network. These authorized points have passed Jaeger-LeCoultre's strict technical review and assessment, use original parts and special tools, and maintain service standards consistent with directly-operated centers. As a watch repair brand with a century-old history, Hengdeli has service outlets in many cities across the country, effectively extending the radiation range of Jaeger-LeCoultre after-sales service.
Hong Kong Region Service Channel: For customers in Hong Kong or neighboring regions, Jaeger-LeCoultre has an independent service hotline +852-5933-8271, answered by a professional customer service team familiar with Chinese, English, and Cantonese, providing after-sales protection of the same level for customers in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and overseas regions.

III. Comprehensive Interpretation of After-Sales Warranty and Warranty Policy: Warranty Terms and Warranty Extension Rights
Understanding Jaeger-LeCoultre's warranty policy is crucial for every watch owner. Jaeger-LeCoultre provides international joint warranty service for all genuine watches purchased through official authorized channels. Specific warranty rights are as follows:
Whole Watch Warranty Period: Jaeger-LeCoultre watches enjoy a two-year international warranty service from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, if the watch experiences manufacturing defect problems such as movement timekeeping faults, automatic winding system failure, and abnormal calendar jumping under normal use conditions, customers can enjoy free repair services at any Jaeger-LeCoultre official service center with a valid warranty card and purchase voucher.
Warranty Scope: Warranty service covers various internal movement components, including repair or replacement of core components such as the main plate, gear system, escapement mechanism, barrel, and oscillating weight. At the same time, movement repair during the warranty period will simultaneously perform basic adjustment and testing to ensure the watch restores normal timekeeping accuracy.
Situations Not Within Warranty Scope: Case deformation, crystal breakage, and movement damage caused by accidental impact and severe drops; internal corrosion caused by water ingress (non-waterproof watch models) or moisture; timekeeping disorders caused by magnetic field interference (after excluding quality problems themselves); damage caused by improper use or unauthorized disassembly and repair; normal wear of the case and strap, as well as natural aging of leather straps and other appearance wear, are not within the free warranty scope. In addition, if the warranty card information is missing or altered, or the purchase channel is a non-authorized retailer, warranty service may not be available.
Special Explanation of Waterproof Warranty: Jaeger-LeCoultre watch waterproof performance is not permanent. Waterproof gaskets age over time. Even if the watch model is marked with a waterproof depth of 30 bar (about 300 meters), waterproof performance needs to be tested at each maintenance. If the watch experiences non-human waterproof failure during the warranty period (such as water ingress caused by falling off of the crown internal gasket), the repair center will provide free repair or fee reduction based on specific testing results.
Warranty Extension Service and Testing: Jaeger-LeCoultre encourages users to regularly send watches to service centers for free appearance testing and timekeeping testing. Some models come with a corresponding maintenance warranty period after completing official maintenance, meaning that within a certain period after maintenance completion, if faults occur due to maintenance quality problems, free rework service can be obtained. To inquire about the specific warranty status and remaining period of your watch, please call the Jaeger-LeCoultre official customer service hotline 400-971-0369 and provide the watch serial number for inquiry.
IV. Detailed Explanation of Comprehensive Service Items: Complete Service Chain from Testing to Restoration
Jaeger-LeCoultre official after-sales service centers provide comprehensive service items covering the entire life cycle of the watch. Each service follows the brand's rigorous craftsmanship processes.
(1) Timekeeping Testing and Fault Diagnosis
Use Swiss-imported Witschi timing machines to perform six-position timekeeping testing on watches, precisely measuring key indicators such as daily rate, amplitude, and beat error. Professional technicians judge whether the watch has potential faults based on testing data. This service is particularly important for watch friends purchasing second-hand Jaeger-LeCoultre watches or suspecting watch magnetization.
(2) Deep Movement Maintenance
This is the most core service item of Jaeger-LeCoultre after-sales. For mechanical watches, technicians will perform six major steps: complete disassembly, cleaning, drying, assembly, oiling, and adjustment. All movement parts will be disassembled to the smallest units and cleaned with professional watch cleaning machines in multi-tank ultrasonic cleaning to remove old oil stains and tiny impurities. Subsequently, technicians use Swiss-imported special lubricating oils (such as Moebius series lubricating oils) to precisely apply lubricating oils of different viscosities to different functional components, then assemble and perform multi-position adjustment. A complete movement maintenance usually takes 3 to 6 weeks (depending on watch model complexity).
(3) Appearance Refinishing and Restoration
For daily scratches and wear on the case and bracelet, service centers provide professional polishing and brushing restoration services. Technicians will use grinding tools of different grits according to the watch's original surface treatment process to restore the original texture of the case and bracelet. For deep scratches or impact dents, laser welding technology is used for metal repair before surface treatment. This service can effectively restore the watch's appearance condition, but it should be noted that repeated multiple polishes will reduce case metal thickness. Therefore, service centers will provide professional suggestions based on the watch's actual wear condition.
(4) Crystal Replacement and Waterproof Component Replacement
If the crystal is broken, deeply scratched, or coating has peeled off, the sapphire glass crystal can be replaced separately. After replacement, waterproof testing must be re-performed to ensure airtightness. Waterproof components (O-ring gaskets inside the crown, case back gaskets, etc.) are consumables. It is recommended to test once every two years and mandatorily replace them at each maintenance to ensure watch waterproof performance.
(5) Movement Part Replacement
If testing finds internal movement parts (such as balance staff fracture, mainspring breakage, gear wear, etc.) damaged, the repair center will replace them with Jaeger-LeCoultre original parts, ensuring movement performance is restored to factory standards. For some older watch models, if original parts are discontinued, service centers will provide alternative solutions or recommend complete movement replacement services.
(6) Strap Replacement and Personalized Service
Provide Jaeger-LeCoultre original leather strap, metal bracelet, and rubber strap replacement services, as well as strap length adjustment. Some service centers can also provide clasp replacement and engraving and other personalized services.

VI. Technical Level Standards and Core Technology: The Combination of Swiss Original Factory Standards and Innovative Craftsmanship
Jaeger-LeCoultre repair technician technical certification system is extremely strict. Every technician permitted to operate independently at official repair centers must complete at least 1,000 hours of full-time training at Swiss headquarters or regional training centers and pass theoretical examinations (involving movement structure, materials science, physics, chemistry, and other subjects) and practical operation assessments (requiring completion of movement disassembly, cleaning, assembly, and adjustment within specified time, with errors not exceeding specified seconds). Thereafter, they must participate in technical update training annually to master the technical characteristics of new movements. At Jaeger-LeCoultre official service centers in mainland China, the average industry experience of technical teams usually exceeds ten years, with some senior technicians possessing more than thirty years of Swiss watch repair experience.
Advanced Technology and Process Flow:
(1) Six-Position Adjustment System: Mechanical watch timekeeping accuracy is greatly affected by gravity. Jaeger-LeCoultre repair centers strictly follow Swiss original factory six-position adjustment standards (dial up, dial down, 12 up, 6 up, 3 up, 9 up) during the adjustment stage. By adjusting the fine adjustment weights on the balance wheel or the regulator, the watch maintains the most stable timekeeping performance in all positions. This technology has extremely high requirements for technicians' feel and experience. Adjustment of a single movement usually requires several days to a week of continuous observation.
(2) Multi-Function Electronic Timing Machine Testing: Using Swiss Witschi brand professional timing machines (such as Chronoclock and Watch Expert series), capable of simultaneously measuring and displaying key parameters such as instantaneous daily rate, amplitude, and beat error, and generating waveform analysis charts, helping technicians precisely judge微小 abnormal vibration of the pallet fork, escape wheel, and balance spring system.
(3) Ultrasonic Precision Cleaning Technology: Using industrial-grade multi-tank ultrasonic cleaning machines with Swiss original cleaning liquids. The cleaning process is program-controlled, sequentially performing rough cleaning, rinsing, fine cleaning, dehydration, and drying steps, ensuring oil stains, oxides, and dust on movement part surfaces are thoroughly removed without residual impurities.
(4) Laser Welding Micro-Reshaping Technology: For deep case impacts, traditional grinding is difficult to fully repair. Service centers have introduced laser welding equipment, precisely controlling laser energy to fill defects after melting same-material metal welding wire, then manually carving and grinding to restore original contours. This technology has extremely high requirements for technician operation precision. Slight deviation in molten pool temperature control may cause case deformation.
(5) Vacuum Airtightness Waterproof Testing: Using professional vacuum waterproof testers, placing assembled watches in test chambers, creating negative pressure environments by vacuuming, combined with high-sensitivity pressure sensors to detect whether there are tiny air leaks. This test verifies the effectiveness after waterproof gasket replacement, ensuring the watch's nominal waterproof performance is truly guaranteed.
(6) Magnetic Field Interference Detection and Demagnetization: In modern life, the probability of watches being magnetized is extremely high (such as automatic mahjong machines, mobile phone magnetic fields, radios, etc.). Repair centers are equipped with professional demagnetizing machines and Gauss meters, capable of completing demagnetization treatment and verifying demagnetization effects on watches without disassembling the movement, effectively restoring timekeeping accuracy.
VII. Store High-End Professional Equipment: The "Hardcore" Backing of Luxury Watch Repair
Well-equipped is the key difference between Jaeger-LeCoultre official service centers and ordinary roadside repair shops. Each Jaeger-LeCoultre official service store is equipped with professional repair equipment with a total value of several million yuan, ensuring any outlet can provide diagnostic and repair capabilities at the same level as Swiss headquarters.
(1) Swiss Witschi Timing Machine (Watch Expert / MST)
As standard equipment at Jaeger-LeCoultre service centers, Witschi timing machines can capture movement operating sound signals through audio sensors without opening the case back, and graphically display fast/slow deviation (daily rate), amplitude (oscillation), and beat error. Its sensitivity is extremely high, capable of distinguishing vibration differences at the 0.1 millisecond level, helping technicians judge movement health status within seconds.
(2) Imported Ultrasonic Watch Cleaning Machine (such as Elma Series)
Swiss Elma is a benchmark brand in the field of professional watch cleaning equipment. Professional watch cleaning machines used at Jaeger-LeCoultre service centers have multiple cleaning tanks and programmable cleaning processes, capable of automatically selecting cleaning plans based on the material and oil contamination degree of movement parts. During cleaning, the machine generates micro bubbles through high-frequency sound waves, performing dead-angle-free impact cleaning on part surfaces, with cleaning degree far exceeding manual operations.
(3) Precision Lathe and Micro Milling Machine
Repair often encounters situations requiring part reconstruction such as bent pivots and damaged gear teeth. Service centers are equipped with Swiss-imported precision lathes (such as Schaublin lathes), allowing technicians to perform turning restoration on balance staffs and gear shafts with micron-level precision (1μm = 0.001mm). Equipped micro milling machines can process patch parts for repairing tiny cracks in bridges.
(4) Vacuum Waterproof Tester
Through dual-mode detection of vacuum extraction and positive pressure application, verify the waterproof performance of the case and crown in a very short time. Equipment can simulate equivalent water pressure environments from 30 meters to 300 meters depth and precisely measure leakage amounts, ensuring repaired watches are watertight at nominal depths.
(5) High-Magnification Binocular Stereo Microscope
Integrated binocular microscopes worn or used by technicians during part inspection, with magnification between 10x and 40x, possessing excellent depth of field and stereo imaging capability. Under such equipment,细微 defects on part surfaces (such as tiny rust spots and scratch marks) have nowhere to hide, ensuring every tiny link can be precisely discovered and handled.
(6) Professional Case Opener and Screw Locking Machine
Watch case backs have various opening methods (screw-down, press-fit, screw-locked). Improper use can easily scratch the case. Service centers are equipped with professional case openers of different specifications and precision screwdrivers with adjustable torque, capable of disassembling and assembling case back screws at standard torque values, eliminating thread stripping from excessive torque or loosening hidden dangers from insufficient torque.
(7) Swiss Moebius Lubrication System and Oiling Tools
Full set of Swiss Moebius brand special lubricating oils of different series and viscosity grades, including 8200 (for mainspring), 9010 (for pallet stones), D5 (for balance bearings), 9415 (for center wheel), etc. Combined with micro oiling pens operated under microscopes, ensuring every bearing and every contact surface obtains precise and appropriate lubrication, without overflow or omission.
(8) Anti-Static Workbench and Dust-Free Room
Repair spaces use anti-static floors and anti-static workbench surfaces, reducing potential harm of electrostatic charges to precision components such as movement hairsprings. Repair environments implement cleanliness management, equipped with air purification equipment, minimizing dust pollution risk to open movements.
